Stories and Music for Children in Hospital: CPD workshop and talk

Helium in partnership with Waterford Healing Arts Trust presents a continuous professional development talk with artists Caoimhe Conlon (Musician) of Music Alive and Fiona Dowling (Storyteller) on 3 March 2012 at the WHAT Centre for Arts & Health, text to replace with Waterford Regional Hospital. The workshop is for musicians and storytellers with some experience of  participatory/ collaborative arts practice preferably with children and young people and/or in arts and health.

Caoimhe and Fiona will talk about their recent six month collaboration together on the Scales and Tales project in Cork University Hospital and reflect on their learnings and methods. The talk will be followed by a practical workshop based on their devised, collaborative approach.

Date: Saturday 3 March 2012

Time: 2 – 5pm

Cost: €20 euro (includes resources)

Place: WHAT Centre for Arts & Health, Waterford Regional Hospital
