Arts Clinic at Phizzfest 2013

Dr. Ciara McMahon, artist and medical practitioner, and artist Laragh Pittman will host an Arts Clinic at Phizzfest on Saturday, 4 May 2013. The subject of the Arts Clinic will be their recent visit to the Bromley by Bow Centre in East London, an innovative, multi-dimensional arts, health and community development project which was first established in the mid 1980’s. Anam Beo at Birr Theatre and Arts Centre

Anam Beo, an independent arts and health organisation that delivers the Offaly Arts-in-Health programme, is hosting an exhibition at Birr Theatre and Arts Centre as part of the Bealtaine Festival. Helium’s Story Dress pilots at a children’s hospital in Dublin

Story Dress, a storytelling and technology performance project for children in hospital developed by Helium, piloted at a children’s hospital in Dublin in April 2013. The project revolves around a uniquely designed interactive storytelling dress which has in-built lighting effects and an embedded soundscape, activating music and sound effects as artists Eléonore Nicolas and Fiona Dowling tell children stories on the wards. Arts and Health panel discussion at ALAAO EU Conference

The Association of Local Authority Arts Officers (ALAAO) with Arts Development UK will host a two-day conference on 25-26 April marking the beginning of a new dialogue across the Irish Sea exploring shared experiences, responsive and effective local arts development and building future forums for European exchange.
