CALM and Kids’ Classics will present a three day symposium on Music & Health from 19-21 June 2013 at Solstice Arts Centre, Navan & DKIT Dundalk, in association with Meath County Council Arts Office and Create Louth, the Arts Service of Louth Local Authorities.

Derry-Londonderry was awarded the inaugural UK City of Culture designation for 2013. As part of the City of Culture programme, there are a number of on-going and once-off events in the area of arts and health and arts and disability, including Six Strings and Stigma, an arts and mental health project, Arts Care’s Here and Beyond, a large scale dance and disability performance, and the Extraordinary People Project which aims to involve hard to reach groups and communities in cultural activities. Lonradh, a tailored art programme for individuals with dementia and their carers, will continue at Crawford Art Gallery in Cork until the end of 2013. The Lonradh programme involves groups of 6 – 8 people visiting the gallery to look at and discuss paintings, socialise over a cup of tea, with the option of also taking part in art-making activities.
