Cloudlands at Garter Lane and University Hospital Waterford

The Cloudlands National Tour by Helium Arts invites audiences into the creative lives of teenagers in hospital. Artwork developed by artists Rachel Tynan and Eszter Némethi with teenagers in Temple Street Children’s University Hospital and Cork University Hospital explores themes of alternate realities, escape and hidden stories. Cloudlands is touring to arts venues and hospitals across Ireland and opens at Garter Lane Arts Centre and University Hospital Waterford on 31 March 2016 and runs until 9 April. Read More


E.gress screening in Waterford

E.gress is a soulful and stirring film produced by artist Marie Brett and musician Kevin O’Shanahan following an intensive collaboration with the Alzheimer Society of Ireland. Currently touring Ireland, E.gress will be shown at an all-day screening event at Cathedral Square in Waterford City on 14 April 2016, in partnership with the Alzheimer Society of Ireland and the Waterford Healing Arts Trust, and with support from Waterford City and County Council. The Arts Council’s (NI) Arts & Age Conference 2016 ‘The Art of Wellbeing’ is an opportunity to experience the positive impact that the arts are having on the health and wellbeing of older people in Northern Ireland.
