Can You See What I See? at DLR LexIcon

‘Can You See What I See?’ is a series of hand painted illustrations by artist Caroline Hyland strongly informed by listening to people with dementia, and to those who support them, their families, friends and the medical professionals. The exhibition is coming to DLR LexIcon, Dún Laoghaire from 16 May to 16 June 2019. Artist tours will take place during the Living Well with Dementia information evening on Monday 27 May at 6.30pm.  Read More


Artist Deirdre Dunne selected to make University Hospital Waterford “A Better Place”

Artist Deirdre Dunne has been selected via a public vote to be this year’s A Better Place artist at University Hospital Waterford (UHW). Deirdre will present a solo exhibition at UHW this summer, with the aim of making the hospital a better place for all. The A Better Place exhibition is an annual exhibition, open to all artists, and managed by Waterford Healing Arts Trust (WHAT).   Read More

Burning Bright is Galway Arts Centre’s programme for older people. A showcase of artwork from the programme is taking place as part of Bealtaine Festival, celebrating creativity as we age, from 13-22 May 2019. Established 14 years ago and facilitated by professional artists working in nursing units, day centres and hospitals across Galway City, this visual arts project encourages participants to celebrate and engage in their own creativity.
