Arts Initiative in Mental Health
Mission / Aims
The Arts Initiative in Mental Health (AIMH) aims to:
- engage artists and persons whom the service supports in interesting and meaningful art making;
- make visible, arts and health work both within the mental health setting and publicy, where appropriate;
- provide access to the arts for service users and healthcare professionals.
Areas of activities
The AIMH primarily supports the engagement of persons whom the service supports in participatory art sessions and projects across artforms. Other activities include environmental enhancement through the arts and occasional professional development of artists and arts and health research.
