Mission / Aims

The aims of Sligo Arts & Health Programme are outlined in HE+ART A Participatory Arts & Health Strategy for Sligo 2007-2012. Augmented by local, national and international research, HE+ART taps into over a decade of learning acquired by health service users, older people, children, artists, arts administrators and health professionals.

Areas of activities

The programme delivers: intergenerational projects; arts projects in day care and residential settings and with active age groups; the annual Bealtaine Festival; and the REFLECT LAB Co-mentoring project with Helium to provide cross-sectoral professional learning opportunities with a view to advancing arts and health partnerships which benefit children.
