Lean on Me: Kildare Arts and Wellbeing Culture Night Event

Three of Co. Kildare’s most interesting choral groups lean on each other to create an intergenerational sound some 100 voices strong. Art and Ageing Fellowship: Irish Museum of Modern Art

The Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA) wish to appoint a Fellow to work with their Art and Ageing Programme. In the past year, text to replace with IMMA has worked within the institution to develop both awareness and skills with its staff in relation to welcoming and facilitating people living with dementia and their families / carers to the museum. The purpose of the Fellowship is to create the potential for more interventions for people living with dementia and embed practice in IMMA’s programmes through adopting an action research model. Arts and Health Research Showcase at IWAMD – full programme announced

The Irish World Academy of Music and Dance (IWAMD) at University of Limerick will present an Arts and Health Research Showcase on 27 September 2017. The showcase will include performances, text to replace with seminars and presentations by IWAMD staff and students whose work is at the interface of arts, health and wellbeing. The day will culminate with the launch of ‘Sing Yourself Better: the health and wellbeing benefits of singing’, an international study on the health and wellbeing benefits of singing in a choir.
