Bosom Pals – Eight Poets Share their Experiences of Breast Cancer

Eight women poets  ­— Marie Cadden, text to replace with Marion Cox, Mary Hanlon, Susan Lindsay, Mary Madec, Mari Maxwell, Robyn Rowland and Lorna Shaugnessy — who have had experiences with breast cancer are being published in a collection of poems called Bosom Pals. The anthology will be launched on 14 September at University Hospital Galway.  Read More

The Claddagh Rogues – Touring Ireland for Mental Health Month

The Claddagh Rogues are embarking on a nationwide performance and discussion tour for Mental Health Month in October 2017. Their new album For the Record explores experiences of homelessness, addiction, mental health difficulties and recovery. Lead singer James O’Flynn and Kevin O’Shanahan, the Arts and Mental Health Co-ordinator for West Cork Mental Health Services who play drums with the band, will take part in discussion events at key venues.  Read More
