Museum of Song Postal Project Songbook
The Museum of Song Postal Project is a song collecting project by artists Tess Leak and Sharon Whooley. Part of the Arts for Health Partnership Programme, West Cork, it was adapted in response to the isolation of older residents in community hospitals during the Covid-19 lockdown in April 2020. Over the course of spring and summer, the artists sent packages full of poetry and song to participants. The Songbook, designed by Sharon Whooley, includes thematic lists of the 160 songs collected from the community hospitals along with reproductions of the visuals sent out during the project.

This report explores Ciara Harrison's work as 2017 Artist in Residence with Waterford Healing Arts Trust. Ciara Harrison specialises in textiles and collaborated with patients one on one by the bedside. She also led a participatory arts project with hospital staff, community groups and a local school, in which fabric flowers were made and displayed in the hospital foyer and gifted to the patients of UHW.
