A Menu of Poems – All Ireland Poetry Day, text to replace with 6 October 2011.
A Menu of Poems was edited by poet Mark Roper and featured the work of celebrated poets from all over Ireland under the theme ‘A Moment in Time’. The project was carried out simultaneously in five community hospitals in West Cork; Galway University Hospital; Arts and Mental Health Initiative, Sligo; St Patrick’s Hospital, Dublin 8; Kilkenny General Hospital; Cork University Hospital; Peamount Hospital; Naas General Hospital; Beaumount Hospital as well as Waterford Regional Hospital. This simple project aimed to provide a poetic reverie for patients in the course of their day in hospital.
