MusicAlive involved in two Bealtaine Festival events 2012

MusicAlive will be involved in two events as part of the Bealtaine Festival 2012; a garden party in the hospital grounds in Skibbereen, West Cork and a performance in St. Patrick’s Hospital, Curaheen.

Perrott’s Garden Party will be an afternoon of music, dance and light refreshments, held in the beautiful gardens of Perrott House. The event will celebrate the end of this year’s music programme in the West Cork Mental Health Services. There will be performances from the participants of MusicAlive’s The Hooley in the Kitchen and Shake, Rattle and Roll, alongside other local musicians.  The party takes place on Monday, 28 May from 3 – 5pm. For further information please contact kevin@musicalive.ie.

The culmination of the Step into Sound music and movement project in St. Patrick’s Hospital will take place as part of St. Patrick’s Bealtaine programme. During the project the residents created new music and movement with MusicAlive and dancer Jo Nichols (www.jonicholsdance.com). This new material will be showcased alongside other visiting groups’ performances. The performance will take place on Thursday, 31 May from 3 – 4pm.
