You are invited to partake in The Apple Arts and Wellbeing Café that is taking place during the Clonmel Junction Festival 6 to 15 July 2012. The Café will be exploring links between creative arts activity, healthy living and attitudes to wellbeing in a space where cross-fertilisation between the different art forms are explored. This cafe acts as a showcase for local arts and health practitioners.
The second annual BEAG seminar Creating a Culture of Creativity, celebrating the work of the BEAG Early Years Arts project, takes place at 6pm on Friday 29 June at City Hall, Cork. The seminar will be formally opened by Francis Fitzgerald, Minister for Children and Youth Affairs.
Nemeton is an installation of reverential artefacts by Marie Brett (artist) and John McHarg (art therapist) on view from 11 June – 13 July 2012 in St Mary’s Collegiate Church, Youghal. The artwork Nemeton is the most recent development of Marie and Johns ongoing creative collaboration exploring their respective art/health practices and allied interest in notions of absence. The Waterford Healing Arts Trust (WHAT) one of Ireland’s leading arts and health organisations based in Waterford’s Regional Hospital wishes to commission an independent evaluation with a specific focus on:
- evaluating the capacity of WHAT to sustain its current output and its potential to grow going forward
- reviewing progress made on the delivery on WHAT’s strategy from 2008-2010
- making recommendations for the priorities and focus of the next WHAT strategy 2013-2018
In celebration of Love Live Music Day the Tramore Gospel Singers and the Brothers of Charity Music in Motion Choir will perform a special concert in association with Waterford Healing Arts Trust on Thursday June 21 at 7.30pm in the Waterford Regional Hospital foyer.
