Make a note in your diary to attend the Apple Arts and Wellbeing Café between 6 and 15 July as part of the Clonmel Junction Festival. The Café is a 10 day event-space exploring links between creative arts activity, healthy living and attitudes to wellbeing.  The Café is curated by Brigid Teehan and Lyn Mather. It also acts as a showcase for arts and health practitioners, including members from the Tipperary Arts and Health Interest Group (TAHIG).

A programme of daily activities will be on offer. The day will  start with Active Arts, creative studio time and art-making for everyone from 11 to 1pm, and continuing to a lunchtime Happy Health Hour featuring singing, laughter yoga, demonstrations, healthy eating and more.

The afternoon will be taken up by a selection of interactive workshops and circle discussions with invited guests from Waterford Healing Arts Trust, Expressive Arts Ireland, Music Alive, Creative Energies Group amongst others that will provide opportunities to experience and explore how visual art, music, arts therapies, shamanic practice, movement and dance can positively enhance peoples’ lives.

Each day will close with a reflection hour from 5 to 6pm where all are invited to share inspiring experiences, taking time to unwind, reflect and renew.

The Apple Cafe is an opportunity for individual and collective artmaking, including drawing, painting and mixed media as well as working with music, sound and movement. More detailed information can be obtained at http://www.junctionfestival.com/arts_cafes/the_apple_cafe
