Helium is currently seeking applications from suitably qualified artists in Dublin, Cork and Galway to participate in Cloudlands, a new arts and technology project for teenagers with chronic illnesses. The project aims to inspire young people in hospital by presenting them with opportunities to engage with professional artists and their peers to develop new work based on their ideas, experiences and interests. The project will use an online create space to encourage collaboration and communication between artists and participants in each hospital.

This is a mentored project, which will enable artists to develop their own practice and benefit from the support of award winning artist and director Mark Storor (UK).  Mark is a highly experienced practitioner, working in the space between live art and theatre. Most of his work is devised, site specific and collaborative.

Cloudlands will be taking place in Dublin, Cork and Galway between November 2012 and July 2013. If you are interested in finding out more about this opportunity, you can download a full brief at http://helium.ie/wordpress/index.php/cloudlands-project-seeking-artists/ or email info@helium.ie.
