All About Us: Launch of publication by Renal Dialysis Patients at Waterford Regional Hospital

The Waterford Healing Arts Trust (WHAT), in partnership with the Dialysis Unit of Waterford Regional Hospital is launching a publication entitled All About Us on Wednesday, 10 October 2012 at 2pm in the Dialysis Unit. The publication was produced through WHAT’s Art Kart service in the unit. Artist Boyer Phelan invited patients and staff to share with her their memories, stories and artworks and All About Us is the result of that process.

The Open Door…where people make music together…

Following on from a successful Autumn 2011 to Summer 2012 programme, The Open Door music sessions return to West Cork Arts Centre from 7.00pm – 8.00pm beginning on Thursday 27 September. This initiative will be delivered by Musicalive,   and each week two experienced musicians, Kevin O’Shanahan and Maurice Foley, will facilitate music sessions that are open to all ages and all members of the community. To participate, no musical experience or particular ability on an instrument is required. Read More


All Wrapped Up

The Waterford Healing Arts Trust, in partnership with the Breast Cancer Services of Waterford Regional Hospital is launching a creative project entitled All Wrapped Up in October 2012 which aims to engage those who have been diagnosed with breast cancer in the design and creation of their own individual wrap/scarf. It is hoped that the process will promote a sense of collective sharing and community and raise awareness around breast cancer.

The Arts Clinic at the Mater Hospital
