The premiere of Fearghus Ó Conchúir’s new work, Cure, will take place at the Dublin Dance Festival on 15-16 May 2013. Cure is a new solo for Fearghus, choreographed by six artists and performers with whom he’s worked in recent years.

The theme of ‘recovery’ is central to Cure: What does it take to recover? What happens after collapse?

Cure is about overcoming difficulties, about what’s needed to survive and about the journey in hope as much as the arrival. It invites us to look for the way ahead, and assembles the wisdom and creativity of others in order to take the next steps.

Venue: Project Arts Centre – Space Upstairs
Dates: Wednesday 15 & Thursday 16 May
Time: 9pm
Artist Talk: Thursday 16 May
Booking: Dublin Dance Festival

Moving Conversations: Fearghus will host a supper on Thursday 2 May, in advance of the premiere of Cure, as part of DDF’s partnership with Create. The supper will be an occasion for conversation across disciplines and cultures in relation to the theme of ‘recovery’. This collective enquiry will give guests a chance to explore their own understanding of recovery, to gain insight into the ideas and artistic processes of Cure’s creation and to inform Fearghus in the crucial final rehearsal period before the show’s premiere. The supper event has already proved popular and is booked out. Find out more here.

Fearghus Ó Conchúir is part of Project Catalyst, an initiative of Project Arts Centre.
