This Never Happened II is a collection of poetry and stories by patients in Units 5 & 6 Merlin Park University Hospital and staff in University Hospital Galway. It is edited and introduced by Kevin Higgins. Galway University Hospital Arts Trust will launch This Never Happened II in Unit 5 at 11am on 11 June by Kevin Higgins.
The creative writing programme is now in its tenth year and continues to be facilitated by Writer in Residence Kevin Higgins. Kevin continues to work his magic and create a welcoming space for participants to attend; where he promotes a reflective space for individuals to explore their creativity. The result is this delightful collection of poetry and short stories.
Children from Scoil Ide in Salthill and Scoil Mhuire in Clarinbridge will read their poetry in response to the publication. This will be followed by some music and dancing by the children from fifth class in Scoil Ide.
