Willis Newson is the UK’s leading independent arts consultancy working with health, community and education partners in public spaces. Willis Newson have just launched a new training programme entitled Evaluating Arts, Health & Wellbeing Initiatives.

Are you currently working in the field of arts in health or arts and wellbeing?
Do you need to credibly demonstrate the outcomes and impacts of your work?
Do you want to want to develop and grow your professional practice or initiative in a way that is sustainable and exemplifies best practice?

Project evaluation remains a key challenge for practitioners and organisations. This course will provide an overview of evaluation techniques to support those managing and delivering arts, health and wellbeing initiatives and introduce participants to the theoretical concepts and practical tools they need to undertake their own evaluations. Our watchwords are Appropriate, Ethical and Credible, but we also encourage participants to think creatively about the approaches they use. Led by expert practitioners, the course will include teaching and case studies as well as group activities providing opportunities for discussion and feedback. Practical skills development will be combined with teaching and reflection. A suggested reading list will be provided.
