Waterford Healing Arts Trust presents Waking Up in Waterford, a solo exhibition by Paul Bokslag in Waterford Regional Hospital. The exhibition of paper-cuts will be launched in the hospital on Thursday 10th April, 2014 by Patrick Lydon of the Camphill Community in Kilkenny.
The title of the exhibition, Waking Up in Waterford, refers to the artist’s unexpected experience of waking up in Waterford Regional Hospital’s Emergency Department after a traumatic accident many years ago. Through a series of figurative paper-cuts Paul has revisited his stay as a patient in the hospital. The visual narrative that runs through the exhibition follows his journey towards recovery.
