Our NGV Access programmes are highly recognised and this was reinforced in February 2014 with our Access team winning the Arts Portfolio Award for Leadership in Disability Access. The NGV strongly supports the role of the arts in healthcare. Creative activity has always been recognised to have beneficial effects on health and the quality of life. The arts, creativity and imagination are a great driving force for health and wellbeing: they help keep the individual resilient, assist recovery and nurture a flourishing society.
