Do you have stories in you that you’d like to try writing? Or do you need feedback on writing you have already created? If so, poet Kathy D’Arcy will be available to give writing advice clinics on Thursday 2 October 2014 between 12 noon and 2.30pm in the Patient’s library, ground floor, University Hospital Waterford. This event is organised by the Waterford Healing Arts Trust (WHAT) in celebration of poetry.

Kathy teaches creative writing to people of all ages and experience.  Her methods are all about fun, enjoyment and overcoming blocks – you can show her work you’ve already done, or ask her to help you start from scratch.

Kathy originally qualified as a doctor, but left that profession to concentrate on writing.  Her poetry collections ‘Encounter’ (Lapwing) and ‘The Wild Pupil’ (Bradshaw Books) were published in 2010 and 2012 respectively.  She is also an experienced writing teacher and youth arts facilitator.
