Kids’ Own is delighted to be working in partnership with the Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) and the Psychology Service (PCCC) in Sligo, on a brand new children’s collaborative mental health book project, funded by HSE Northwest.
Working alongside artists Vanya Lambrecht Ward and Lisa Vandegrift Davala, three groups of children from across the two services and from St Edward’s Primary School in Sligo, are exploring themes of wellbeing, resilience, coping strategies, and positive mental health through an 8-week programme of writing and art workshops. The project will result in the publication of a brand new book all about mental health, which will be available for nationwide dissemination in spring 2015.
