The Winter Garden will open on Wednesday 10 December in Niche Community Garden in Knocknaheeny in Cork. It is the second year of the project, and this year features new work created by many groups and individuals from the community who have worked with artist in residence in the garden Amy Russell.
The work includes a winter cityscape installation created from cardboard, an audio visual installation “What christmas means to me…”, and full size reindeer created from children’s drawings.
Along with lights, flowers, music, hot chocolate and mulled apple juice, a hobbit house and even Santa in his ice grotto…we’re just hoping it doesn’t blow away!
