Event
The CUH Arts Committee are delighted to bring the annual Reflecting Through Art exhibition 2015 to Cork University Hospital (CUH). Reflecting Through Art is an exhibition open to anyone using the mental health services. The project aims to encourage creative activity, raise the profile of the artists and their talents but also to highlight the importance of art not just in recovery from a mental health difficulty but also as a positive coping strategy through difficult times. Art offers many people great comfort and joy. The tour started at Cork International Airport in March, and the exhibition can now be seen in The Art Gallery CUH in the Staff Dining room from Thursday 23 April.
Opening times are weekdays from 7.30am to 2.30pm and from 17.30pm to 19.00pm and at weekends from 9.30am to 2.30pm. The exhibition will remain in CUH for a further 6 weeks before it will move to St. Stephens Hospital, Glanmire. The exhibition will remain in St. Stephens Hospital until the closing ceremony in August. This exhibition has been running at CUH for a number of years now and is a wonderful addition to the annual calendar of events, and staff, visitors and patients enjoy viewing the talented artists involved in the Cork Mental Health Foundation.
