This masterclass will offer an opportunity for arts and health practitioners to reflect on their work, nourish their creativity and learn about reflective practice. We aim to open up a space in which practitioners can engage in reflective practice, engage with each other and reflect on issues that arise in their work. The aim is to offer an experiential master class, combining creative exercises (including creative writing and storytelling), networking opportunities and learning to explore how reflective practice can enhance, support and improve the work of artists in health care settings. NUI Maynooth and the National Centre for Arts and Health are combining their expertise to deliver this unique masterclass which will contribute to the continuing professional development of artists working in healthcare settings.
