National College of Art and Design – Arts and Health Module

The National College of Art and Design/Creative Life St James Hospital – Arts and Health Module is drawing to a close. Seventeen students from NCAD working with Dominic Thorpe, Mary A. Fitzgerald, and Denis Roche have developed projects with Creative Life, working with themes relating to art, health, creativity and successful ageing. Students who participated in the Arts and Health Module will give research presentations in the Durkan Lecture Theatre, Trinity Centre for Health Sciences, St James Hospital, Dublin8 on Thursday 7 May from 10am – 4pm Read More

Clonakilty Wellness Committee is delighted to bring the award winning, Clonakilty Wellness Week. This year’s festival will run from the 4 – 9 of May, 2015. This festival embraces the concept of co-production, which sees service users and mental health professionals working together, on an equal footing, to produce a festival for all. The aim of Clonakilty Wellness Week is to encourage the community, as a whole, to come together and speak openly about mental health, therefore, destigmatizing mental ill health and normalizing mental health dialogue within our community. Lonradh: a visiting programme for individuals with dementia and their carers

Lonradh is a visiting programme at Crawford Art Gallery Cork for individuals with dementia and their carers. The programme is free and takes place on the first Wednesday of each month throughout 2015, from 2pm – 3.30pm. Enjoy viewing some works of art in the Crawford Art Gallery, with light refreshments supplied, and the option to get creative in the Gallery’s art room.  Read More

It will reflect on the principles of design in health and consider the potential of digital innovations to empower individuals and revolutionize healthcare experiences. It takes place in The Lydia & Manfred Gorvy Lecture Theatre at the Victoria and Albert Museum on Friday 19 June, from 10.30 – 17.00.
