The little festival with a big feel good factor, The West Cork Feel Good Festival takes place this year in Bantry on October 9 and 10 in celebration of World Mental Health Day. Arts highlights on Friday include an open session with the ‘Morning Glory’ dance group, a movement and music session with West Cork Inclusive Dance and The Happiness Ensemble and an art exhibit and talk with Sarah Ruttle and Rebecca Keyser.

On Friday evening, the ‘Live Life and Sing’ concert will take place at the Maritime Hotel at 8pm with Bantry Community choir, Acapellabella and other special guests.

This year’s festival will culminate with ‘The West Cork Big Sing’. Over recent weeks community musician Caz Jeffreys has been delivering ‘open door’ singing sessions in a variety of locations throughout West Cork for people to come and learn a selection of songs which will be sung together on World Mental Health Day. Even if you haven’t attended one, all are encouraged to gather in Bantry Square for the event which is promoting singing for community wellbeing.

The HSE Cumasú or Wellness bus will act as a centre for information and hospitality over both days. There will also be a wide range of activities incorporating food, sport and fun.
