Inkspirations: Revisited, an exhibition of ink drawings by Kaumal Baig, will be at Cork University Hospital from 1-29 February 2016. A number of pieces were previously displayed at the Jennings Gallery, University College Cork. Kaumal Baig is a Fourth Year Dental Student in University College Cork who grew up in Cork with Asian roots.

Kaumal loves the precision that drawing with ink provides – the crisp, clear, permanent lines. Patterns are a noticeable component in the majority of Kaumal’s drawings – little motifs collected in her mind over the years. With no formal education in art, Kaumal went through life with a passion for mathematics and the sciences, which are portrayed through her artwork.

Inkspirations: Revisited will be on display at Cork University Hospital Gallery, Staff Dining Room. Giclée prints of all pieces are available with a percentage of the proceeds donated to the Children’s Unit at CUH.
