HSE Blackrock Hall Primary Care Centre and the HSE Cork Arts + Health Programme present Journeys, a site-specific commission by artist Sharon Dipity, and the After the Gallery exhibition by members of Arts+Minds with artist Julie Forrester, launching 4 March 2016 at Blackrock Hall.

Journeys is a series of site-specific artwork work created by visual artist Sharon Dipity in response to conversations with staff and visitors, and inspired by the local area. West Cork based Sharon Dipity has worked in health and community settings for many years. Journeys was commissioned by the HSE Cork Arts and Health Programme and is currently a case study on artsandhealth.ie: www.artsandhealth.ie/case-studies/journeys/

After the Gallery is the inaugural art exhibition in Blackrock Hall Primary Care Centre’s new Arts Corridor. The artwork was created by Arts + Minds members using HSE community mental health services in Mahon, Blackrock, Togher and Ballyphehane as part of the Arts + Minds | Crawford Art Gallery Initiative. As part of this initiative, Arts + Minds worked with visual artist Julie Forrester to explore a diverse range of themes, techniques, and approaches to creating work. A selection of this artwork will be included in the exhibition which runs until June 2016. Further details are included in the exhibition brochure.

Blackrock Hall Primary Care Centre is located on Blackrock Avenue, Skehard Road, Blackrock (above Aldi). The Arts Corridor is located on the first floor.
