Galway University Hospitals Arts Trust’s latest exhibition,  Out the Other Side – Stories of Breast Cancer Survival,  is a collection of uplifting individual real-life stories of women who have survived breast cancer. The exhibition will launch on 7 March at 6pm on the Arts Corridor of University Hospital Galway.

The exhibition is designed to offer encouragement to other breast cancer survivors and women living with the disease in Ireland.

Out the Other Side features the stories of ten women and their experiences, with each story comprising three elements: a shared personal experience of surviving breast cancer; a photograph of each survivor as they are today; and a photograph which each of these women feels represents their ‘survivorship milestone’, essentially, what surviving breast cancer has meant for each of these women.

Developed by Roche in partnership with the Marie Keating Foundation, the exhibition will be officially launched by Dr Silvie Blazkova, Consultant Medical Oncologist at University Hospital Galway. The launch will be followed by refreshments in the Consultant’s Boardroom, Ground Floor.

The exhibition will remain on display until 4 April 2016.
