Gavin Clayton has joined the faculty of the University of Florida Center for Arts in Medicine.  Gavin has joined the Center’s esteemed faculty as Adjunct Lecturer in our Master of Arts (MA) in Arts in Medicine programme. Gavin is the executive director of Arts & Minds in Cambridge, England. He is one of the founders of England’s National Alliance for the Arts, Health and Wellbeing, and was also involved in establishing the All Party Parliamentary Group for Arts, Health and Wellbeing.
Gavin contributed to the first edition of the International Journal for Arts and Health and presented during the inaugural webinar for the Royal Society for Public Health’s Special Interest Group for Arts, Health and Wellbeing. Gavin first worked with the UF Center for Arts in Medicine in 2007, when the Clore Leadership Programme awarded him a Nesta Fellowship in Arts and Health for his research exploring how the arts contribute to development in sub-Saharan Africa. This project included work with our AIM for Africa program in Rwanda.

Before delving into the world of arts in medicine, Gavin was an actor and performer for 15 years.
