Event
Damn Fine Print is teaming up with nine artists for a residency at St Patrick’s Hospital in Dublin 8 to be launched on 16 June at 7pm in the hospital. St Patrick’s Mental Health Services is one of the leading providers of mental health services in the country. It’s independent, not-for-profit and promotes mental health awareness while providing quality care for people who might need a bit of help. The project will aim to promote positive mental health.
Participating artists are Vanessa Power, Finbar 247, Shane O’Malley, Neil Dunne, Steve McCarthy, Will St Leger, Aoife Dooley, Kim Willoughby and Eimear Gavin. The week-long residency will culminate in a big art show and screenprint exhibition on site at St Patricks Hospital.
Using the walls of a busy corridor intersection in the Hospital as a blank canvas the artists will transform the space into an area where staff, visitors and service users can feel inspired to take positive mental help steps in their lives.
You can follow the project online at #DamnFineMinds – the big launch will be in St Patricks’s Hospital on James’ Street in Dublin 8 on Thursday June 16 from 7pm to 9pm.
Limited edition screenprints will be available to purchase for €40 with a portion of proceeds going to support St Patricks Mental Health Services.
