E.gress Special Closing Event, IMMA

A special closing event of E.gress, a soulful and stirring filmic work exploring the twilight world of dementia, will take place at the Irish Museum of Modern Art on Thursday 14 July 2016. This closing event marks the final stage of the E.gress National Tour; a mapping of reflections, inspiration and learning gathered along the way, together with a presentation of new artworks and responses.  Read More

Kildare County Council Arts Service is delighted to announce the 2016 Dance & Movement Summer School Programme running from 18 July 2016 – 22 July 2016. This year, the programme expands to incorporate a Dance and Health seminar whilst continuing to deliver the renowned summer school of Laban, Dance & Movement. The Summer School offers a ‘pick and mix’ programme allowing you to immerse yourself in an exciting range of approaches to dance, movement and health. Stories in the Bag at Cork University Hospital

Stories in the Bag is a series of creative writing workshops in the Paediatrics Department of Cork University Hospital taking place this summer. As part of her Masters in Creative Writing at University College Cork Aoife O’ Leary an English Lecturer at Tralee Institute of Technology became a Writer in Residence at the Paediatrics Department in the Puffin Ward at Cork University Hospital (CUH).  Aoife started her residency in late June and will continue in July 2016.

The Twilight Programme at St. Patrick’s University Hospital will present The Jonathan Swift Walking Tour with a twist of Joyce for Bloomsday on Sunday 19 June. The tour duration is approximately 1.5 hours from 2.30pm – 4.00pm followed by refreshments in the cafe from 4.00pm – 4.30pm. Meet Sinead at the reception at 2.15pm.
