The Waterford Healing Arts Trust (WHAT) wishes to commission an independent evaluation of the Iontas arts and mental health programme so far, with a view to informing the next three years of the programme. The programme is based on a partnership between WHAT and the Waterford/ Wexford Mental Health Services (WWMHS) and began in March 2014.
Iontas grew from a previous Music in Mental Health Settings programme which has been run by WHAT in partnership with the WWMHS since 2007. This participatory programme is structured in blocks ranging from 5 weeks to 26 weeks in a range of art forms and is rolled out in six mental health settings in Waterford.
