Back by popular demand! Visual artist Sinead Dinneen and curator Katie Verling are looking for new participants to take part in their Kicking the Bucket programme in Limerick this spring. Kicking the Bucket is a creative and thought-provoking seminar and workshop series on funeral practices and personal choices which first took place in spring 2016.

What began as a moment of black humour grew into the Kicking the Bucket workshop series, a public exhibition, public presentations and finally an RTE Radio 1 Documentary.

Kicking the Bucket 2017 will take place on Monday evenings over 6 sessions in Central Buildings at 51 O’Connell Street Limerick. The sessions are from 7-10pm and the following dates apply: 27 February, 13 March,  27 March, 10 April, 24 April , 8 May.

The new season of Kicking the Bucket will include art making, creative initiatives, readings and personal reflection, and will include guest speakers and old friends from the original Kicking the Bucket initiative. On completion of the programme each participant will have made work – visual, writing, video, audio or multimedia – which will be displayed in a public exhibition in Limerick in late May 2017.

The number of places on the workshops is limited. Please contact Katie Verling to register: katiegverling@gmail.com
