Event
The Visual Time Traveller exhibition by Alison Hackett will open at University Hospital Waterford on 16 June 2017. Alison will give a tour and talk about the exhibition and book in the foyer of University Hospital Waterford at 1pm.
The Visual Time Traveller is an exhibition of sixteen images from the book of the same name. It is a collaboration between author Alison Hackett and Origin Design.
The book encapsulates 500 years of history, art and science in 100 unique designs. A visual walk through history in five-year time jumps, it introduces a new way of learning and engaging with information. Woven into the illustrations, each page includes twelve facts drawn from across the spectrum of human endeavour. By breaking down traditional boundaries between the sciences and art, The Visual Time Traveller makes it easier for people to digest complex streams of information.
The exhibition is on view in UHW until 25 August 2017. A further 16 images can be viewed in Garter Lane Arts Centre from 17 June – 26 August 2017.
The book is available to purchase from the WHAT Centre for Arts & Health for €59. For more information, contact the Waterford Healing Arts Trust (WHAT) on 051 842664.
