Roscommon University Hospital is currently hosting an exhibition of paintings by Sue Byrt Foxe, inspired by her love of colour and the natural environment. The exhibition will run until the end of March 2018.

Sue Byrt Foxe is a native of Ennis, Co. Clare and has lived in Roscommon for the past 20 years. Sue trained in Grennan Mill Craft School, Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny and pursued a further Jewellery Course in Knock, Co. Mayo. Having settled in Roscommon to raise her children, Sue paints part time. Her love of nature is an integral part of her work. Previously a member of Clare Crafts Association, this is Sue’s third exhibition.

Since Roscommon University Hospital’s inaugural exhibition in August 2016 (Head in the Hedgerow by artist Hugh Barr), the hospital has hosted a series of exhibitions, principally by Roscommon-based artists including Mote Park artists, Anne Rigney, Frances Crowe, Dee McKiernan and Sharon Joyce.
