T H R I V E, a contemporary abstract art exhibition by artist Tory Irvine, will run in the Arts Corridor at University Hospital Galway from 7 June to 1 July 2018. Irvine is an abstract artist interested in emotional health. The exhibition features a series of her vibrant and colourful paintings.  

‘My work is intrinsically linked to my own self-care and wellbeing. The result is a body of work that, while portraying a unique perspective, is relatable and relevant to modern life. My hope is that my original paintings have a positive and uplifting effect on the onlooker. Art has the power to encourage reflection and promote emotional health which is a critical component of thriving communities.’ – Tory Irvine

The launch will take place at 6pm on 7 June in the Arts Corridor and all are welcome.

Tory Irvine is an abstract artist interested in emotional health. Originally from Belfast, Tory Irvine settled in Galway with her husband and two small children. Her paintings are vibrant, expressive & colourful. Working with acrylics on paper, she layers washes and blocks of colour with a spontaneous energy.
