Event
Le Chéile Limerick is launching “The Le Chéile Anthology”, a book of prose and poetry from members of its weekly creative writing group, on 6 December 2018 in The Granary Library, Limerick. The Le Chéile Project is Limerick Mental Health Association’s peer support project. This publication encapsulates not only the hard work, commitment and curiosity of the members in exploring and expanding their creative potential, but also the kindness, encouragement and support offered to each other around the table each week.
On good days and bad, the writers have nurtured a space for each other to chat, laugh, cry and create. This fine production represents what can be achieved through the beauty of this peer-to-peer support.
With an introduction by award-winning writer Donal Ryan, the book will be launched by special guest, author Roisín Meaney.

About The Le Chéile Project
The Le Chéile Project is Limerick Mental Health Association’s peer support project. At our centre in Limerick city, we promote social inclusion through a variety of social, recreational, creative and educational activities, with a focus on development of wellness and recovery groups. Every week, along with our coffee mornings and drop-in services, we offer a range of opportunities for participants to make new friends and develop sustainable community connections. Our walking group and Men’s Shed project get our members out into the open air, while our creative writing, music and art groups, along with our new Creative Space mornings, explore the arts as a tool for developing good mental health. A Sunday Social rounds out the week in style! Subscribe to our newsletter on limerickmentalhealth.ie to be notified of our new classes and timetable.
