Galway University Hospitals Arts Trust is hosting Art@Work 15 on the Art Corridor of University Hospital Galway until 31 January 2019. Art@Work is the annual exhibition of work by staff from Galway University Hospitals and is now an annual event during the Christmas season.
This year’s exhibition showcases work from staff from Cardiology, Dialysis, Services, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Radiography, Radiotherapy, Haematology, Histopathology, Immunology, Microbiology, Nursing, Administration, Community Health Organisation, Finance, Social Work, hospital volunteers and retired staff members.
The exhibition was officially launched on 17 December by the Mayor of the City of Galway, Mr. Níall McNelis.
‘The arts are so important in healthcare contexts; particularly in the areas of mental health and wellbeing. This area is full of bright, vibrant colours, often the only colour a person might see in a day.
