The Arts in Medicine Intensive at the University of Florida Centre for Arts in Medicine is taking place from 6-17 May 2019. This Summer Intensive is a comprehensive training programme for artists, health professionals, administrators, students, educators, and others who wish to explore the roles of the arts in healthcare and community health contexts.
The programme includes two topic-specific weeks of on-site programming at the University of Florida. Participants may attend for one week or two.
Participants can expect an engaging and highly experiential dive into the field of arts in health. Expect days filled with creative engagement, embodied learning, hands-on skill building, and meaningful dialogue. Participants will leave with deeper knowledge of the field and an array of resources for developing or advancing careers that engage the arts in healthcare and community settings.
Partial scholarships, based on merit and financial need, are available. Scholarship applications are due 18 February 2019.
