An Introductory ‘Music in Healthcare Settings’ Workshop led by Kids’ Classics through their Training Notes initiative will take place on 13 August 2019 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda. This workshop is presented as part of the Trad@Heart Healthcare Festival programme, a partnership with Create Louth, the arts service of Louth County Council and Kids’ Classics in association with Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.

This introductory workshop will explore the wealth of approaches to music-making in healthcare settings by Kids’ Classics professional hospital musicians, the potential benefits of interactive music-making to help improve the quality of life for patients, and the necessary hospital musician skill-set required to work appropriately in healthcare settings. It will be an open style presentation with an opportunity for questions and involvement by the attendees.
