An Introduction to Arts and Health, a one-day national workshop, will take place at Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore on Friday 8 November 2019. This day-long programme, featuring presentations by some of the leading figures working in arts and health in Ireland, is for healthcare professionals, arts practitioners and anyone interested in learning more about this exciting field.

An Introduction to Arts and Health introduces participants to some of the practicalities of arts and health work: the principles of good practice, the importance of a partnership approach and how to set up an arts and health project. Participants will also have the opportunity to explore the benefits and challenges of working in this field.

Guest speakers who will share their extensive experience include Mary Grehan, Arts in Health Curator with Children’s Health Ireland, Claire Meaney, Acting Arts Director of Waterford Healing Arts Trust, and Emma Eager, Project Manager, artsandhealth.ie.

An Introduction to Arts and Health is organised by artsandhealth.ie / Waterford Healing Arts Trust and is supported by Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore. The fee for the full day, including lunch, is €25.
