Helium Arts, the national children’s arts and health charity, invites applications from multi-disciplinary artists with experience of collaborative and participatory arts practice with children and young people, to join Helium’s Artist Panel.
Artists will be contracted on a project-to-project, freelance basis over the next two years, to deliver Helium’s Creative Health Programme in community settings in Cork, Limerick, Galway, Dublin and surrounding counties.
The role of Associate Artist is to deliver inspiring collaborative arts programmes which are responsive to the needs and vision of children and young people with long-term health conditions, additional needs and disabilities. Artists should have a genuine interest in building supportive relationships and a working understanding of inclusive arts practice relevant to the social and emotional needs of participants.
Training and continued professional development will be provided, with up to four required training days to take place in December 2020.
Deadline for applications
The closing date for receipt of applications is Friday 2 October 2020, at 5pm.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to interview and to attend an interactive workshop.
Please request a full brief and application form by emailing Gemma at gemma@helium.ie with ASSOCIATE ARTIST in the subject line.
