Opportunity
The Arts in Health International Foundation (AiHIF) has launched the #ArtsAgainstCovid Awards to acknowledge publicly those initiatives demonstrating the positive effects of arts for health in cases where the individual and collective health of people have been affected by the current COVID-19 pandemic.
The AiHIF has as its core mission to ‘foster co-operation between the cultural, social and health sectors to effectively improve society’s health and wellbeing’.
The call is open to any natural or legal person (institutions, entities, research groups, universities, associations, companies, foundations, etc.) that have recently or are in the process of developing initiatives conceived to improve people’s health and wellbeing through art and cultural activities conceived as innovative strategies leading to positive health results.
- The proposals can be of three types: projects to be executed, on-going projects or recently accomplished projects.
- The proposals can be of any arts discipline and should explicitly state the health objective to be achieved.
- The #ArtsAgainstCovid Awards will give special consideration to those projects that contain information on the execution, dissemination and wider impact of the results as well as projects that include the participation/involvement of professionals, entities or health centres.
The #ArtsAgainstCovid Awards consist of one single prize of €5000 for this edition.
The AiHIF will also grant a non-remunerated Special Mention Award to a proposal developed in the public domain and another proposal in the international arena.
