Opportunity
The Arts Council’s new Agility Award is an open and flexible grant scheme designed around the needs of professional artists and arts workers. The Award has been created in the context of the ongoing uncertainty created by COVID-19, and the Arts Council’s commitment to raising standards of excellence in the making of art.
The purpose of the Agility Award is to support professional artists and arts workers to:
- Develop their practice, and/or
- Develop their work, and/or
- Develop their skills, and/or
- Create new work, and/or
- Present new work.
Priority will be given to applications that demonstrate how the artist’s or arts worker’s practice will benefit from taking time to develop their craft, and/or working on artistic ideas.
There will be three rounds of this award in 2021: spring, summer and autumn.
Who can apply
This award is open to freelance artists and arts workers at any stage in their career.
Round 1 Deadline
Thursday 8 April 2021 at 5.30pm
Application Process
Applications will only be accepted through the Arts Council’s online services website and all supporting material must be submitted online. Applicants who have not previously used the online services site must register in advance of making an application.
The window for making an application will open on Tuesday 9 March 2021.
