Waterford Healing Arts Trust in partnership with the Arts Council hosted an online series of panel discussions and workshops in March and April 2021 exploring the personal and professional impact of Covid-19 on the arts sector. Surviving or Thriving? aims to strengthen resilience, restore confidence and promote connectedness amongst artists and arts workers.
Podcasts of the panel exchanges are now available, featuring an inspiring array of guest speakers from the worlds of literature, visual arts, collaborative arts, dance, music and theatre. Contributors shared their experiences of life during Covid with psychologist, writer and broadcaster Dr Maureen Gaffney.
Hear from writer Anne Enright, theatre maker Louise Lowe, musician Eleanor McEvoy, dance artist and choreographer Fearghus Ó Conchúir, artist and educator Austin Ivers, and many more.
The online series also includes a range of resources to support the wellbeing of the arts community, from sector-specific resources and recommendations from national and regional resource organisations, to health and wellbeing resources available from the HSE and a range of recommended resources which may be helpful in different ways.
