First Fortnight, Ireland’s Mental Health Arts & Culture Festival, challenges mental health prejudice and stigma through arts and cultural action and programmes events that create spaces for unscripted conversations around mental health to happen. The festival is currently seeking submissions for their 2022 edition, which will run from 2-16 January on the theme of “Open”.

During a time when it can be easy to feel disconnected, when venues have closed their doors, when families and communities had to stay apart, we want to focus on the many creative ways we can remain open.

First Fortnight are accepting proposals across all artforms. They are open to fledgling ideas ready to take flight but are also supportive of remounting pieces of work/events that have already flown with great success.

In light of Covid, all submissions must be either physical with a digital alternative or purely digital. Applications won’t be accepted which have no digital alternative.

Deadline for proposals: 22 July at 5pm
