Opportunity
The Arts Council’s Agility Award is now open for Round 3 applications. This open and flexible grant scheme is designed around the needs of individual freelance artists and arts workers. The Award has been created in the context of the ongoing uncertainty created by COVID-19, and the Arts Council’s commitment to raising standards of excellence in the making of art.
The purpose of the Agility Award is to support professional artists and arts workers to do one or more of the following:
- Develop your practice
- Develop your work
- Develop your skills
- Create new work
- Present new work
Priority will be given to applications that demonstrate how the artist’s or arts worker’s practice will benefit from taking time to develop their craft or to work on artistic ideas.
This is the final round for the Agility Award in 2021. The amount requested can range from €1,500 to €5,000.
Who can apply
This award is open to freelance artists and arts workers at any stage in their career.

Thursday 9 September 2021 at 5.30pm
Application Process
Applications will only be accepted through the Arts Council’s online services website and all supporting material must be submitted online. Applicants who have not previously used the online services site must register in advance of making an application.
